Momma misses Bear

For the first time, I've been going through the pictures from the last few months of Bear's life. Among them are the last pictures of Bear and me - taken the night before he went to the emergency vet.

Unfortunately, these were all taken on my smartphone, so the quality is less than I'd like.

I miss my Mr. Handsome Stripey-Pants so much. He is in every breath I take. And I'm grateful that he chose me to be his human and he rolled up his stripey sleeves to manage the almost impossible task of saving my life. Bear, everything I do is because you loved me.

  6. Beautiful photos. He will live in your heart forever, but it's still not the same as having him physically with you.

    1. I think I've finally gotten to the place where I still feel him in everything I do. You're right, it's not the same as cuddling with him every night, but it provides comfort.

  9. It is so hard. I loved Eric and Flynn equally, but truly Flynn was my heart cat. It is only in the last few weeks that I have been able to look at his videos. They make me cry but smile at the same time if that makes sense. I really do understand how you feel.

    1. I understand. It took me over two years to be able to look at these photos. It was devastating, but also comforting in that I could see our love and connection. I guess I'd started thinking I was imagining it.

    1. This is true. His love is in everything I do and how I see the world. He's not gone. I didn't realize that until recently.

  13. We all miss him too. Especially Amarula. It is so hard to lose your soulmate cat! The good part is that when an animal is your special soul mate pet they are always with you cause they are part of your spirit. Hope that gives you at least a little comfort

    1. Yes, we were. I don't know if you remember Bear's back story, but I got him in Virginia, when I lived there for a year!
