Christmas stories

We hope your Holidays were every bit as wonderful as ours were! Here are some snippets of what went on in the Momma Kat household over the last week, plus a few days.

[Mostly] Wholesome Fun with the Christmas Tree.

We were given a Christmas tree ... I put it together, and the cats were curious about our newest resident. #TheNewKid #Flashy #CatnipNotIncluded #CatNap #Anticlimactic

The Christmas Tree Bandit.

The Boy and I went out to dinner and came home to ...

When Momma requires "help" wrapping presents.

When Momma outsmarts the cats or [more likely] they let her think so.

Momma's family was in town and they visited the Arch.

Yes, Momma lives in Saint Louis. Yet the last time she went up in the Arch was over 25 years ago and she was a bit excited to experiment with photography of what she saw. #Figures #MaybeNextTime

And Momma came home from an exhausting day to find ...

Cats doing ... err ... what cats do! With plenty of love to give their Momma! #BestDayEver

In closing of 2019, we appreciate our readers and friends. Thank you for stopping by! And moving into tomorrow, Happy New Year! May the New Year be your best year ever!

  1. Glad you had a lovely Christmas. I googled the St.Louis Arch and wow! I wondered how you could get to the top with it being that shape and saw the lifts are slow moving and only four feet high. An amazing experience but one I couldn't do as I don't like heights or enclosed places.
Happy New Year and 2020 to you!

    1. They say the tram system is part elevator, part escalator, and part Ferris wheel! The cool part is that the cars stay level as they go up. It takes 4 minutes to get up and 3 to get down. Of course, I suppose you could take the stairs [no, not really - they aren't open to the public].

  2. You two sure did have some tree fun! The Dad visited St. Louis when he was a Purina blogger and he enjoyed his visit to the arch...and the casino...and restaurants. Happy New Year from all of us!!!

  3. We'd have to make a Christmas Tree out of cement, for it to survive the onslaught of Da Boyz!
They are such a joy, however, that we don't care that they pull out tissues, chew on boxes, or jump on their humans. They are cats!
Hugs and purrs to you all!

    1. It's no coincidence that I haven't had a tree before this year. Bear is not kind to decorations ;)

  14. Ellie, you did a great job helping with the wrapping.I think the Grinch was trying to steal the tree. Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2020 filled with tasty whole chickens. XO

  15. What a fun Christmas you had (loved the Arch photos-nice job). I think your tree experience is why I stopped putting my tree up when Elsa joined the pack. No point in the temptation and she's doesn't move exactly like a ballerina (more like a stampeding buffalo herd). Here's to a pawsome 2020! We're looking forward to more fun adventures with the "Missouri cats."

    1. Thank you. Truth in advertising ... I don't move like a ballerina either which might at least partially explain our lack of holiday cheer in decorations.
