The Final Pet Blogger Showcase (11/04/2017)

In a tough decision among the co-hosts, we've decided to discontinue the Showcase. Today's Showcase is dedicated to our featured posts from the last Showcase (with no new link-up). If you missed the last Pet Blogger Showcase, you may view it here: Pet Blogger Showcase 10/21/2017. To view all the past weeks of the Showcase that we co-hosted, click the link: Pet Blogger Showcase.

It's been a pleasure and privilege to meet so many new wonderful friends - and read and share your posts each week. Thank you to our readers and those who linked up - you've made this Showcase a wonderful experience for all of us! And a special thank you to our co-hosts for your friendship and devotion to the Showcase: Dawn (from
PetFaves - and the lead host who did all the hard work behind the scenes to bring you the Showcase), Jodi (from Heart Like A Dog), and Anita (from Felines Opines).

My favorite link ups from the last Showcase follow:

*** Pet Peeves with Parsley #9 - Basil's Blog ***
If you haven't met Fudge yet, you won't regret checking out this incredibly smexy and handsome mancat with the vaguely pornographic tail. Parsley sets the record straight on his brother ... Fudge might be a pretty face - but he's not a dimwit like so many people assume. YES ... he DOES have a thing for climbing trees and not being able to get back down ... YES ... he DOES wander off and worry his Mum ... but he's just an adventurer at heart - NOT a dimwit!
We love reading the Service Cat Monday posts - we learn so many of the wonderful things one can teach a cat to do with Repetition and Rewards. In this post, we learn why cats scratch, what your kitty requires to fill her need to scratch at home, and how to help kitty get the most out of her new scratcher.

*** Emergency! - Erin The Cat (Princess) ***
Erin's always got something to say about everything, as you would expect of a Princess of discriminating taste ruling her domain. She also happens to be funny and sarcastic ... and sarcastic. In this post, Erin attempts to report an emergency with unfortunate results for everyone involved.

*** Animal Shelter Volunteer Life ***

Wait! Wait! One more!!! We're counting this as a chosen ORGANIZATION (PAWS, is an incredible rescue in Norwalk, Connecticut that I've come to admire and wholeheartedly support )... though the blog itself is amazing and WELL WORTH your visit. We LOVE Animal Shelter Volunteer Life because of their upbeat attitude and because they do a phenomenal job of sharing this particular rescue - and the cats available for adoption there. PAWS offers a lot of great programs including a "pension plan" for senior pets up for adoption. We encourage our readers to visit these two blogs, check out the amazing animals up for adoption on PAWS' website, and support rescue efforts at PAWS and locally.

Thank you for joining us twice a month to highlight and celebrate our fur-babies. We hope many of you will continue to stop by every so often - and we'll keep up with all your adventures as well! If you missed our last post, The Boy proposes, we promise you a laugh or two - in addition to some big news for our household!

  1. CONGRATULATIONS on getting the 2nd place on the Remember the Rescue competition. Well deserved and we are very proud of you both. And thank you for sharing our post again. We will miss you being here with the hop, but hope to see you around the place in months to come?

  2. Thank you Kat. I admit, ending the showcase is a bit sad for me. I feel so much camaraderie between the hosts and treasure the friendships we've made. You had some great picks this week. I admit, I was torn between the feral African cats or the scratching one. I am so against declawing and wish people understood exactly what they are doing when they choose this barbaric method to combat scratching. Thank you for stepping up when we needed you and for being such a great co-host and advoKAT for the Linky Party, you really put your heart and soul into it, and I appreciate that.

    XOXO

  3. Thank you so much for co-hosting, and for your advocacy of PAWS and Animal Shelter Volunteer Life. Even MORE so, thank you for being such wonderful friends! We've loved participating in the Blogger Showcase, and are sad that it is ending. But we understand. We're so grateful for the new friends we made by participating, so it kind of lives on in our hearts. :)

    Big hugs!

    1. As I wrote the last post, I was thinking of PAWS and ASVL in particular ... maybe I can come up with a new way to raise awareness?!? Our little blog doesn't generate much traffic - but we'd love to help.
