Cats doing ... cat stuff

Cat stuff: seemingly random or nonsensical things our cats do - with fervent determination and certainty of purpose - that us humans don't entirely understand.

Examine the photographic evidence and tell us what you think Bear Cat and Ellie Mae are up to!

Holding down the fort ... err ... cat tree OR poised to hide in the hardest to reach corner under the cat tree if there's even the slightest hint of a toothbrush OR aggravated feline in exile thanks to her brofur kicking her out of her spot on the loveseat OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Photo-bombing one's brofur's close-up OR begging for the photographer's attention OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Demand for a close-up OR a catnip craving OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Fursib private conference OR fursib nonsense OR a pending pirate attack courtesy of our gorgeous house panther OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Snoopervising his people OR chillaxing above and far away from his annoying sisfur OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Making sure Daddy's clothes don't walk away OR keeping Daddy's clothes warm OR lovingly donating her fur to her Daddy's clothes to boost his street cred OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Holding the paper down OR chillaxing OR maintaining her ownership of the paper OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Cat-itating OR ignoring her people because they've gotten on her last nerve OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Disputed ownership of the only scratcher Bear uses OR private cat meeting OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Getting one up over his sister who stole his catnip banana OR taking the prime position to observe what Momma's doing OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Pounce attack in progress OR ferociously stalking sparkle balls OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

HINT: Notice the feather?

Gathering of the cats for their wet food treat OR jockeying for position in the food line OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Enjoying the sun and chillaxing OR surveying his domain OR owning "his" window so his sisfur doesn't get any ideas OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

Posing for a gorgeous portrait in the only natural light we get in this house OR checking out this "window thing" that Bear loves so much OR what cat stuff do you see going on here???

    1. We have no idea if it glows in the dark ... but that is an EXCELLENT question. We're with you and completely insulted that Momma thinks she can figure us out. HMPH! She's with us almost 24/7 and some of our readers on Facebook had better captions than hers! It's like she wasn't even trying! I think we might have to let her go. ~Bear Cat

  9. AMARULA: Oh Bear! No matter what you are doing, it's clear that you are looking GOOD!! And I think you're right that it may be time to teach my human some respect and to stay away from cats who aren't ME!

  13. I am so horrified at seeing Bear's right arm being chewed off at the shoulder by a ferocious shark! I can't unsee this carnage. Ellie Mae didn't you SEE that sharkie attack? Bear...did you go to see your Dr.? Shall I send the Gendarmes? I'll hurry over with a cage to catch him if I can get it in my tunnel!

    1. Pre-ambush, mid-ambush, post-ambush ... they all kind of bleed together ... until Bear has enough and puts the kibosh on that certain house panther's enthusiasm :)

  23. Mostly we see cats just hanging out, which is what they do best. If they are up to something else, they do not want us to know it. Top secret cat stuff!
