Sunday Selfie 5

I know I'm handsome. So joining The Cat on My Head's Sunday Selfies blog hop is a no brainer! This week I'm showing you what happens when my supervisory (and endlessly annoying to my Momma) spot on the table is full. For those of you who don't know, I like to sit on the edge of the table, less a foot away from Momma as she works, and just STARE at her. I don't actually WANT anything ... but it makes her all nervous and jumpy. Hehehehe. ~Bear Cat
ps - You can see our previous Sunday Selfie posts here: #1, #2, #3, #4, and #4.5.

This is my usual spot at the edge of the table (the second shot it pretty blurry because I am THAT CLOSE, meanwhile staring at Momma):

There's something in my spot on the table! How can I sit there and stare at Momma while she works, when my spot is occupied by CRAP?!?!

Talk to the butt ... ***THIS*** is what I think of you:

Get a good shot? Want a piece of this?!?!

Seriously? You have to get a shot from every angle? I don't work for free you know!

Oh, now THIS is ridiculous! Don't you have anything better to do? Oh, wait. No. No you don't.

  2. Hi Bear *Waves* a good set of selfies there... What is it about peeps and cluttering things up? My peep does it all the time and my resting spots at the Palace seem to be like the shifting sands of the desert, without the sand, or the heat, and no cream. purrs for a Happy and SAFE 4th. ERin

    1. My Momma's usually smart enough NOT to leave things out (hehehehe, you can guess why) - but she's been a bit frazzled since returning from BlogPaws so things are a bit messy (and NOT because of me this time) :)

  3. First of all that butt shot selfie is spectacular! Second, we will have to try that sitting really close and staring trick. I (Rosie) prefer the walk across the keyboard while she's trying to type routine.

    1. Oooh. A butt plop on the keyboard is so much more fun!!! No, walking across is better ... Hmph. I need to do more testing. asdfghytrewqasfds ghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghghggggggggg. Rosie's right. ~Bear Cat

    2. The human here ...just read your comment. I had also heard a few things about BF before we went, but I really found it to be amazing. All the staff and volunteers I met were so incredible, so dedicated to the animals and the mission. It was a really happy place and the animals seemed genuinely content, happy, relaxed, and very much loved. Of course, I was only there for for 3 days, but I was pretty much blown away by the experience.

    3. Thank you for replying about your experience. It certainly seems like a wonderful place. I feel bad for ever thinking otherwise ... and now I want to visit and volunteer (mainly volunteer).

  4. Bear, you have the biggest eyes and a most expressive face. Lily Olivia does exactly what you do. Mom will even wake up in the middle of the night, and she will find Lily staring at her. Creepy! It does keep the humans honest, though. MOL! Thanks for hopping! XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

    1. Hmmm ... My Momma named me Lily at first (before she knew I was a boy) ... she called me Lily for a couple weeks. Maybe that's why I like to stare at her ... just to mess with her like she confused me by giving me a girl's name. To wake Momma up, I much prefer clawing at her face - because she can't ignore that - though I have woken her a few times by just staring :) ~Bear Cat

  6. I like to be really close to mom, too, but I don't stare at her. If her stuff is in the way, like papers and things, I just lay on top of them. She's very good at working around me. Have a safe and happy Fourth.

    1. I like to be close to my Momma too, but I do the staring thing just to mess with her. I don't usually back down, but this time, the table was covered and I'm not about to injure my behind sitting in a pile of junk when something on the bottom might hurt me. Okay, usually I don't let that stop me ... I just wasn't in the mood this time (as you can see from the annoyed look on my face). ~Bear Cat

    1. That's my usual MO, but this time, the table was crammed with stuff behind the towel so I couldn't even get up there. Hmph. You'd think my Momma was EXPECTING me to knock stuff off so she made it impossible for me to even get up there! ~Bear Cat

    1. It only seems appropriate. My Momma says she sees my rear end more than she sees my front end, so it's rather appropriate for me to share those pictures with our readers so they get the genuine Bear Cat ;)
