Momma shoots the cats? Part 1

As the Boy will tell you, I take a ridiculous number of pictures. I've learned that the best way to get good shots is to keep snapping. Just one second can affect whether a picture is usable or not - and there's no real way to know until you view the pictures on a display larger than the camera screen. Cats aren't easy to photograph - and sharing one's life with two is infinitely more complicated than one. So many of the pictures I take are dictated by specific posts - but I've been working on candid, day-to-day shots that have no obvious purpose. This post - and the next one posted Tuesday - share many of these pictures with you. We hope they bring you as much joy to view as they did Momma to photograph. That's why I take so many pictures - photographing the cats makes me happy.

The post is composed of pictures with captions.

  3. These were all so much fun to read. Love the gotta pay the toll to get by or those little paws will go after your feet. Now it's time for you to get caught up with your naps, before you are woken up for more pictures to be taken. Thanks for the share. have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Uh oh! You two kits could do so much more damage than 7 yr old Ellie and 12 year old Bear!

  8. Yikes, you have SMALL humans at your palace, or had the boy shrunk? You can never have too much of a good thing, including pictures. However my consultant say that doesn't apply to cream, cheese, doughnuts, chocolate and sundry other comestibles of the fast carb variety. I'm sure that doesn't apply to me, though, and the cream was purely medicinal, like the nice and nip! MOL
Anyways, we love Bear's last and sylphlike photo this week....

  9. Oh my gosh! I'm so envious of all these fun pictures you have of them! The captions are so funny. I really enjoyed this. I especially like the one of Ellie, looking obviously displeased, on the pizza box. I honestly don't have a favorite because I enjoyed each one.

    1. You'd be surprised. It took us over a year - and while we might mostly be over the hissies, it's not always smooth sailing.

  13. I LOVE the photo of Bear catching the toy. You captured a great expression on his face! And his stance is great, too. But the best caption...leaving the food service girl a tip. MOL!

    1. Occasionally, I get one of those one in a million shots - but as I've learned, if you don't try, you won't get anything. That was my former stance because I just couldn't get a good shot!
